David Galewsky puchased Hondo Veterinary Hospital in 2016. He graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. He worked in Marble Falls for three and a half years before coming to Hondo. He enjoys everything about mixed animal practice, from cats to bulls. He has a beautiful wife named Maggie and two crazy boys, Wyatt and Lyle. In his free time he enjoys running and spending time with his family at his parents ranch. He has two dogs, two horses, a herd of Dorper sheep, and a bunch of Angus cattle.
Becca Richardson grew up in the small west Texas town of Andrews and received a B.S. in Animal Science from Angelo state University before graduating from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. She enjoys all aspects of mixed animal practice including deer and exotic hoofstock. In her free time she enjoys traveling, running, yoga, and spending time with her Blue Lacy dog, Sterling.
Taylor Smith grew up in Dripping Springs, Texas and received her bachelor’s degree from the
University of Pennsylvania where she played volleyball. She went on to receive her DVM from
Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. She loves everything about
mixed animal practice, and cats and horses have a special place in her heart. In her spare time she
enjoys hiking, reading, spending time outdoors, and travelling, and every summer she takes a trip
to Malawi, Africa to do veterinary mission work through the organization e3 Partners. She has
one cat named Augustus McCrae. She is excited to serve Hondo and the surrounding
communities through caring for their animals.
Dr. Sells is a native of Central Texas; he received his first B.S. degree from Sul Ross State University in Range Animal Science in 1976. He received a second B.S. Degree in Veterinary Science in 1978 and his D.V.M. from Texas A & M Univeristy in 1980. He has been married to his wife Carolyn for 30 years and they have 4 children. Dr. Sells practiced in Burnet, Texas for two years before settling in Bandera in 1982. He was a mixed practice owner for 20 years before finally limiting his practice to primarily equine and exotic wildlife. His personal interests include ranching, hunting and restoring vintage motorcycles and trucks.

Alanna grew up in the Texas Hill Country, graduating from Boerne High School in 1995. She received her Bachelor’s degree in 2000 from Sul Ross State University majoring in Equine Science and Animal Health. She joined the Hondo Veterinary team in March 2010 as a large and small animal Technician. She recently received her CVA level II certification in October 2014. Alanna enjoys spending time with her husband Floyd “Skip” and their daughter Cheyenne. Some of her hobbies include reading, riding horses, hunting, and fishing. Her household is busy with four cats, four dogs, and five horses.
Maria joined the Hondo Veterinary team in March of 2015. She recently received her CVA II certification. She enjoys working with large and small animals. She lives with her fiancé Josh and her daughter Amberly. Some of her hobbies include: cooking, horseback riding, fishing, and running.
Anne Marie graduated from Hondo High School in 2012. She is currently pursuing her Licensed Veterinary Technician degree from Palo Alto College. She joined Hondo Veterinary Hospital in 2011 as a kennel technician and moved up to vet tech in 2014. Anne Marie is a Hondo Native, and lives with her two dogs Lola (Chihuahua), and Charlie (Lab mix). Anne Marie has an adorable son named Caden, and boyfriend John. She enjoys assisting in surgeries, puppy exams, and geriatric exams. In her free time she likes to fish, read, and spend time with her 2 year old son.
Cearra has been a technician with Hondo Veterinary Hospital since 2016. She is from D'Hanis, graduated from Jack C. Hays High School, and has a Pharmacy Technician degree from Allied Heath Careers. Her favorite parts of her job are helping the patients, puppy and kitten exams, and learning new things. In her free time Cearra enjoys spending time with her daughter Caeli, being outdoors and going to the beach and river.
Christian joined the Hondo Veterinary team in 2020. She is from Castroville and graduated from Medina Valley HS. She has two pets named Princess and Bennie Bear. Christian loves helping the clients and learning from her co-workers. In her free time Christian likes to spend time with her family, go to the river, watch movies and play outside with her animals.
Jewel joined the Hondo Veterinary team in 2020. Jewel is from Castroville and graduated from John Marshall HS. She has two pets named Stephine and Oreo. She enjoys interacting with the animals and learning new things from her amazing co-workers. Every day after work she boxes with her dad and enjoys outdoor activities, being with her family and friends, and re-watching the Vampire Diaries.
Tayla has worked here at Hondo Veterinary Hospital since 2019. She graduated from West Texas A&M University with a bachelor of science in animal science in 2021 and is working on applying to Vet school. She lives here in Hondo with her fiancé Colton who is a farrier. In her free time Tayla enjoys lifting weights, riding her horses and hunting.
Marissa joined the HVH team in 2021. She recently received her CVA I level certification. Marissa graduated from Hondo High School in 2020. She has a chihuahua named Mya. She loves learning from her coworkers and assisting in surgeries. She enjoys drawing, shopping with her mom, and watching scary movies.
Lauren joined the Hondo Veterinary team in August of 2022. She was homeschooled and graduated high school in 2022. Lauren is currently working on getting her CVA I certification. In her free time she enjoys playing volleyball with her family, knitting, baking, and spending time with her 6 cats. Lauren loves to help with kittens and learn new things.
Cindi joined the Hondo Veterinary team in July of 2004. Cindi is from Kilgore and she graduated from Kilgore HS. She has a cute little Yorkie named Harlee. She enjoys visiting with clients and their furry families, and working with her co-workers. She has 3 children and 3 grandchildren. When she is away from the clinic she enjoys gardening, collecting cactus, riding motorcycles with Glen and spending time with Harlee.
Tara joined the Hondo Veterinary team in 2020. Tara is from D'Hanis and graduated from D'Hanis HS. Tara has a dog named Ellie Mae, a cat named Rudy and a granddog named Remy. Tara enjoys working with clients and her amazing co-workers, and seeing the cutest animals that come through the lobby. In her free time Tara likes spending time outside, hunting, fishing, mowing and working in her garden. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends and relaxing on the sofa.
